Are permanent teeth darker than baby teeth?

Permanent teeth have a different structure than baby teeth. They contain more mineral compounds, which make the teeth better hardened and stronger, but they are therefore darker in color. Against the background of the white baby teeth, individual permanent teeth may seem darker than they actually are. When only „adult” teeth remain in the child’s mouth, their yellowish color is not so striking.
